    Pianca is an Italian furniture company with a rich heritage dating back over 500 years, rooted in the woodworking traditions of the Treviso region. Founded in 1954 by Enrico Pianca in Gaiarine, the company evolved from a small artisan workshop into a modern industrial enterprise. In 1956, Pianca transitioned from handcrafted production to industrial manufacturing, producing bedroom and living room furniture. The company made its debut at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 1961, marking the beginning of its longstanding presence at this prestigious event. In 1970, Pianca introduced the use of chipboard in its furniture designs, making its products more accessible to the European market. The company also became the first European manufacturer to replace solvent-based varnishes with water-based alternatives, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability. Today, Pianca operates from a 75,000 square meter facility and has a global presence, with over 1,000 stores in Italy and more than 500 worldwide in over 50 countries.
